iCardiac stress testing is a non-invasive exam used to measure the heart's response to exert/stress in a controlled environment.
The purpose of a stress test is to evaluate the status of your cardiovascular system, which comprises both your heart and blood vessels, by showing blood flow to your heart.
The test can help your healthcare provider find out if you have coronary artery disease (CAD) or monitor the prognosis of the disease.
A stress test can determine whether your heart muscle is pumping well. It can also identify poor blood flow and located blocked arteries. It may show whether your heart has been damaged (for example, by a heart attack). This information helps your provider choose the best treatment for you.
